Milford Sound, New Zealand

One of the iconic landscapes of the world, a visit to the South Island of New Zealand would not be complete without cruising the Milford Sound. While not even technically a sound (it’s a fjord), it was a jaw dropping experience to take a boat out and see the incredible landscape bursting out of the sea. Since it had rained all the day before, the sound was teeming with hundreds of waterfalls cascade from every place I looked. The faintest of blue skies revealed a colorful and diverse environment.
