It was fun photographing the first ever WSL Finals, and the level of surfing was insane! @gabrielmedina was unstoppable and landing nearly everything, including a clean Flynnstone flip to seal the win and world title.

It was rad being able to watch the women tearing up Lowers on Tuesday! Couldn’t have asked for better conditions to decide the world title.

@filipetoledo throwing it to the flats during the WSL Finals a couple days ago. Almost deleted this as I had to shoot it through the plexiglass that is used for interview backgrounds, which completely washed out the shot. Bumped the contrast and ended up being a cool looking mistake.

Another couple cells popped up off the coast and put up one of the most incredible light shows I have ever photographed. I set up two cameras and was able to capture quite a few bolts just off the coast of San Clemente. Lightning is by far my favorite subject and is what got me into photography to begin with so I’m always grateful when we get some storms. #sanclemente #ktla

South swell filling in nicely tonight. Happy to have captured a few cloud to water shots a bit ago! September has always been the best month for lightning photography here so hopefully there’s more to come. Used my 50mm to get a bit closer (this is also heavily cropped) and shot a ton of 25 second exposures to capture a few bolts.
