Morning coffee stop at Kirkjufell as a strong winter storm moved in.

The dramatic landscape of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, Iceland. The drive through the fjords was jaw-dropping and the lighting was perfect. Killer whales are known to chase their prey into this fjord (Kolgrafarfjördur ) and corner them.

Didn’t expect to photograph any wildlife in Iceland, and I definitely didn’t expect an Arctic fox. I’m glad this one didn’t chase me through the forest and steal my camera gear like the one in Argentina many years ago 😅.

Tröllakirkja, Iceland. One of the first mountains we came across as we started our clockwise trip around the ring-road.

Home for the night. Such a beautiful spot with two of my favorite things, surf and mountains.

Had some good timing with clear weather and increased solar activity (kp4) last night. Took a walk down to the water and got a few shots here in town. Can’t wait to get out to some remote locations soon and chase the lights! The real-time movements still blow me away with how fast the lights dance across the sky. 🤘🏽
