Ollantaytambo, Peru

Ollantaytambo, Peru

After Machu Picchu, I decided to spend a few days in the Sacred Valley relaxing and exploring some other lesser-known Inca sites. I stayed at an awesome bed and breakfast just on the outskirts of town in the farmland, which was perfect and quiet, with stunning views of the mountains all around.

One day I made the long trek up to Inki Punku sun gate, which was one of the hardest hikes I’ve ever done. Over 4,000 ft of elevation gain! The views up top were incredible! The trail also passes through the main Inca rock quarry for the region.

Ollantaytambo was an awesome city to spend time in, with its picturesque cobblestone streets, more incredible food and coffee, and incredibly nice people. I worked on some street portraiture there as well, taking time to speak to the locals and get a few nice pictures of them with colorful clothing and backdrops.
